In the sultry jungle air, the intrepid party of adventurers persevered and discovered the enigmatic astral anomaly, as the very fabric of reality seemed to shiver in its presence. A bittersweet farewell was shared with their trusty Firbolg guide, whose fate now lay in the hands of his tribe for his perceived recklessness in leading them into danger. They wished him well, knowing that they may never see him again.

Fate, however, had other plans for the party. As they approached the anomaly, they stumbled upon a besieged camp of nefarious cultists locked in combat with fearsome Togres. The adventurers quickly devised a hasty strategy and leaped into the fray, their bold intervention causing the cultists to flee using invisibility spells. This left the brave heroes to contend with the brutal onslaught of the Togres.

During the intense battle, Beltrana was struck down by the Togres’ vicious claws and teeth. Colton, in a daring act of heroism, dragged the wounded Beltrana towards the mysterious freestanding stone door at the heart of the anomaly. Together, with the enigmatic Sword of Sand, they unlocked the door and crossed the threshold to their destination.

In the aftermath of their harrowing escape, the party took the time to survey their new surroundings. The magnificent architecture of the chamber was marred only by its disheveled interior. They discovered a journal belonging to a previous visitor who had managed to enter the place before them. After a much-needed rest, their investigation began in earnest, culminating in the activation of a portal door by interacting with an arcane control system.

The door transported them to a similar chamber, this time adorned with three switches and a tantalizing heap of gold. Colton, unable to resist the allure of the treasure, found himself ensnared by a curse that left him unable to release the handful of gold he had grasped. Fortunately, the party’s swift intervention broke the curse, and Colton was finally able to relinquish his hold on the cursed gold.
